Involvement.

We offer flexible volunteer positions with flexible time commitments (some positions you can even do from home). You can volunteer as often as 1-2 hours per week or as little as a few hours a month. You would gain valuable connections with our organization both personally and professionally. There are also opportunities to learn more about urban hen care and the effect it has on the community. We provide references letters to committed volunteers.

Available Opportunities 
Social Media Manager
Responsible for coordinating the RCC social media platforms and posting content on the various platforms. As well as responding to comments on those platforms.
Web Content Developer
Responsible for preparing RCC blog posts, stories and articles.
Website Maintenance Coordinator
Responsible for keeping RCC website up to date with important information and ensuring the RCC website operates smoothly.
Teaching Instructor
Assist with teaching the Chicken 101 course offered by River City Chickens.
Chicken Ambassador
Promote RCC at various events around the City of Edmonton and provide information regarding urban hens at events such as farmers markets.
